Building Systems Erectors Earns AISC Advanced Certification

BSE is One of Just 92 Steel Erectors in the World to Achieve the Industry’s Highest Designation Becomes First Erector in the State of Kentucky to Attain Advanced Certification

ERLANGER, KY – Building Systems Erectors, Inc., a national contractor of steel structures, has joined an elite group of industry professionals by earning AISC Advanced Certification from the American Institute of Steel Construction.

Only 92 structural steel erectors in the world are AISC certified, and Building Systems Erectors is the only Advanced Certified Steel Erector in the state of Kentucky.

Building Systems Erectors earned the designation after completing a rigorous examination of its processes, procedures and overall quality management system. The certification process found the company to have the personnel, organization, experience, capabilities and commitment that meets stringent requirements. Certification is based upon a review of written applications, documentation of procedures, and an audit conducted by a third party firm. It is subject to yearly reviews.

"Building Systems Erectors, Inc. is certified by the American Institute of Steel Construction to have the personnel, organization, experience, capability, and commitment meeting the requirements of the Advanced Certified Steel Erector category as set forth by the AISC Certification Program,” the certification announcement states.

“AISC Advanced Certification is the gold standard of the industry,” said Martin Black, president of Building Systems Erectors. “As the steel building industry and construction requirements grow increasingly complex, many in the industry specify certified companies that deliver the highest level of confidence and security. I’m especially proud of the Building Systems Erectors workforce and applaud the efforts of our employees who made this accomplishment possible.”

“The certification process enabled our organization to take a long, careful look at our practices and processes and approach to doing business, and was an extremely worthwhile and valuable task,” said G. Anthony Huser, Jr., Building Systems Erectors vice president. “The experience will hold rewards for both our employees and the customers with whom we do business.”

Auditors conduct on-site visits to make firsthand observations, interview staff members, and review practices and equipment to confirm that proper quality standards and procedures are in place, and companies must correct all deficiencies before passing the audit.
